Do you have hip pain? You may have FAI.
FAI is a hip disorder which is caused by an over-coverage of the acetabulum and/or a mis-shaped head of the femur. Ultimately, this causes a pinching mechanisim in the hip joint. This can result in pain, damage to the labrum (a connective tissue around the rim of the hip socket), and it may potentiate arthritis of the hip.
Dr Ford was the first surgeon to bring arthroscopic treatment of FAI to the area. This allows for a much less invasive approach in comparison to the original open technique.
